General enrollment information

Through the year the BioSB research shool organises a number of courses in different tracks. On this page you will find more information about how you can (pre) register for a BioSB course. An overview of the BioSB courses can be found at the course portfolio page.

Pre-registration

If a course date has not been determined yet, you can express your interest in a course by filling out the pre-registration form. If you pre-registered for a course we will inform you as soon as more information about the course of your interest is available. We will also inform you as soon as the course registration form is open for applications.

Enrollment

Researchers who want to participate in a BioSB course can apply by filling out the registration form on the respective course page. The application form includes an evaluation of your experience in the subject of the course which will be shared with the course coordinator.

PhD students who want to integrate the BioSB courses in their personal PhD programme should contact their own research institute for approval. To avoid students having to apply for approval for each individual course, BioSB is in the process of contacting relevant research and graduate schools on the possibilities for integrating the BioSB courses in their education programme.

Several BioSB courses are also open for MSc students. MSc students need a recommendation by their supervisor and can only participate if there are enough seats available in the course. Regular registrations by PhD students and other researchers will have priority over registrations of MSc students.

Course fees

Course fees are set at 400, 600 and 900 euros (exclusive of 21% VAT) for a five-day course for PhD students (and MSc students), academics (PIs and postdocs) and industrial attendees.

Confirmation and payment procedure

At registration we will ask you to pay immediately. Your registration for the course is final after submitting. You will receive a confirmation of your registration via the registration system.

If for any reason the course coordinator thinks that you should not participate in the course, he or she will contact you to discuss possibilities. If the conclusion is that it is better that you don’t participate, you will receive a refund of the full registration fee as soon as possible after cancellation.

If you decide for other reasons not to participate in the course, you can receive a refund if you notify the course organisation by e-mail at least 14 days before the start of the course. No-shows or cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the first course day are not eligible for a refund. However, after notification of the course organisation somebody else may attend a course as your replacement.
