Fourteen years after the unraveling of the human genome, we still know very little about the relation between genes and diseases. In the science edition of NRC weekend of January 11 & 12th a 2-page article was published about Bioinformatics and human genomics research, containing interviews with among others Lude Franke from the Groningen University Medical Centre and Peter-Bram ‘t Hoen of the Leiden University Medical Center.
